Activist has offered to construct the giant statue of Borat in Kazakhstan

This idea has been proposed by famous Kazakhstan social activist Askar Tuleev. He posted this on his Facebook page.

“For example, I guess that some guy in London has heard nothing about Kazakhstan except Borat. And last year he could have found out the BBC news: “six Czech tourists who dressed up as Borat have been arrested in Kazakhstan for wearing nothing but mankinis”.

After this incident comic actor Sacha Baron Cohen has offered to pay the fines for six Czech tourists who were reportedly detained by authorities in Kazakhstan’s capital Astana for dressing up as his character Borat.

He wrote this message on his Facebook page. Nowadays post has more than 42,000 likes and 4,700 reposts.

And all this success is an absoluetly free PR-agency of Kazakhstan all over the world!!

So, I offer to construct the giant statue of Borat, I think it will be the great for boosting tourism in the Central Asia. We can put it on the Kok Tobe mountain and burn it out after several months. Just for fun.

In my opinion it will be the greatest promoyion of our country”, - he said.
